WPW - "It Was The First Time I Killed A Man."

Today is the 2nd Writing Prompt Wednesday! I didn't get any submissions to be featured for this week but I'm not giving up hope! "If you build it, they will come", right? Either way, it's all just for fun! Just like last week I will post a prompt and if it inspires you, write a story, post it in the comments, or e-mail it to me: draytonella@gmail.com and you might get featured on next week's post!

Today's Prompt:
Today's prompt is brought to you by this awesome book my husband bought me for Mother's Day two years ago, 642 Things To Write About - By The San Fransico Writers' Grotto.

Write a scene that begins: "It was the first time I killed a man."

My Story:

It was the first time I killed a man but I could already tell it would be the last. Feeling the thick blood running down my hands, between my fingers; it was one of the most exhilarating feelings I've ever felt in my boring little life. Watching the life fade from behind his eyes was like watching my first porno film. It felt dirty and raw and absolutely amazing. The most incredible part of taking this man's life, however, was the magnitude of power I felt as I ran the knife blade slowly across his neck, slicing the flesh; pulling it apart to see the meaty veins struggling to pump blood to his brain. I, this small-framed woman from a small farm town, had out-witted, overpowered, and bled out a man whom a lot of people feared. A man who thought he was untouchable and invincible bled to death from my steady hand.

Let me know what you think about my story! Send me your stories! Get featured here on next week's Writing Prompt Wednesday!!
